2026 H.E.R.S. Softball Registration

Spring Travel • Summer In-House • Fall Travel


Ages

  • Spring/Fall Travel: 5–14

  • Summer In-House: 3–18

  • No extra fee for non-residents


Tryouts

  • No tryouts. All skill levels welcome.

  • Team placement is not guaranteed and depends on registration numbers.


Required Equipment

  • Softball face mask (required for all players)

  • No metal cleats

  • Bats must have USSSA 1.20 thumbprint

  • Full equipment rules: herssoftball.com/equipment


Spring & Fall Travel

  • Registration closes: Spring - 2/23/2026 | Fall - 7/27/2026

  • Practices may begin Feb 1 (Spring) / Aug 1 (Fall). Scheduled by coaches.

  • Travel to other towns required

  • Games are scheduled by coaches at the NISA scheduling meeting (April 4 – Spring / Mid-August – Fall). Game dates and times are provided after the meeting.

  • Spring game date range: Apr 20 – Jun 27 (includes tournament June 22 – June 27)

  • Fall game date range: Mid-September – End of October


Summer In-House

  • Registration closes: 04/20/2026

  • Fun, instructional league focused on fundamentals

  • Open to beginners and returning players

  • Great introduction to travel softball

I, the parent or legal guardian of the player(s), understand that a separate $75 volunteer deposit check must be mailed to PO Box 333, Harvard, IL 60033. If I do not complete 4 volunteer hours, H.E.R.S. will cash the deposit check. If I complete 4 or more volunteer hours, verified sign off by a commissioner, the check will not be deposited and will be destroyed.

The volunteer deposit must be CHECK ONLY (no cash, credit card, or Cash App) and separate from the registration fee. Please write the player’s name in the memo.

I acknowledge and assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation, including transportation to and from activities. I hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless the H.E.R.S. organization, its sponsors, supervisors, commissioners, participants, and individuals providing transportation to or from activities from any claims covered by accident or liability insurance. I understand that the H.E.R.S. league provides Excess Medical Liability Insurance coverage for each participant.

I, the parent or legal guardian of [Child’s Name], hereby give permission for my child to participate in any and all H.E.R.S. activities during the playing season(s).

I understand that I am responsible for providing transportation for my player to all games and practices. I agree to notify the coach as far in advance as possible if my player will be absent from a game or practice. I understand that failure to arrive on time or attend practice may result in my player being excused from the next game. Continued failure to comply may result in removal from the remainder of the season.

H.E.R.S. maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any form of bullying, on or off the field. If my player does not adhere to this policy, she will be excused from participating in H.E.R.S. indefinitely.

H.E.R.S. will also consider players’ grades and academic performance during participation in the Spring and Fall Travel seasons.

24-Hour Grievance Policy

Individuals must wait 24 hours from the time of an incident before filing a grievance. This waiting period:

-Encourages calm and objective communication

-Reduces emotionally driven or premature complaints

-Promotes constructive dialogue and self-resolution where possible


After the 24-hour period, a grievance may be submitted or discussed with the following:

1. Coach

2. Commissioner (at least 2 commissioners must be present or included in the communication)

3. President or Vice President


Exceptions: Immediate grievances may be accepted in cases involving:

- Safety concerns

- Any form of harassment

- Urgent ethical violations

Photo, Video, and Audio Release Consent

I, as the parent or legal guardian of [Child’s Name], give H.E.R.S. Softball permission to use my child’s photo, video, audio recordings, and/or words. I grant full, irrevocable, and perpetual consent to H.E.R.S., its clients, affiliates, commissioners, and assignees (collectively, the “Grantees”) to reproduce, distribute, or display such materials worldwide.

The Grantees may use my child’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, or statements, in whole or in part, in connection with any advertising, research, client presentation, or other media produced by H.E.R.S. Softball. Materials may be used with or without my child’s name, and the Grantees may make reasonable edits to testimonial content, provided the overall spirit and intent of my child’s remarks are preserved.

I waive any right of approval over the use of these materials and release the Grantees from any claims or liabilities, including those related to invasion of privacy or defamation, arising from such use.
